Why Use Astrology?

In recent years, Neuroscience has become very popular with the optimization and manifesting communities because it explains the manifesting process from a logical, scientific perspective. Scientific research shows that most of our actions and habits come from the programs stored in our subconscious mind. Furthermore, we now have tools to view and reprogram the subconscious mind. 

In manifesting communities you will commonly hear, “You manifested your cancer or that bad relationship because of an unhealed wound.” “You are blocking yourself from receiving more money by your lack of self worth. Heal the trauma, and you’ll receive everything you desire!”

So for example, let’s say at 30 years old you have a subconscious program of low self worth that came from degrading comments from a middle school teacher who constantly put you down. You’d have a hard time manifesting a new stream of income or your dream partner when you don’t believe you are worth the partner or job you truly desire.

To fix this problem, you can use a technique such as neurolinguistic programming or hypnosis to reprogram your subconscious mind from low self worth to high self worth and therefore manifest your greatest desires.

I’ve been doing this work for a decade and absolutely believe in this process. I have manifested some pretty cool stuff using these techniques and believe it is possible to manifest anything you desire.

However, what if you get the thing you thought you wanted, and it doesn’t bring you happiness?

Since you identified and healed the trauma and emanated the energy of JOY to attract the thing you desired, shouldn’t you have known it wouldn’t make you happy? 

Did you ask yourself where the programming for the desire came from before you manifested it?

If you are at a point in life where you don’t know what you want, how will you figure out what will make you happy?

Are you afraid to admit your deepest desires? Do you question if your deepest desires are real?

Further…

If I am the creator of my entire reality, what about worldwide collective events or deaths of loved ones?

Did I *subconsciously* manifest my Dad dying before I turned 30?

Did I *subconsciously* manifest a worldwide situation were I would be fired for not taking an experimental medication?

The answer is no. Not everything is *subconsciously* manifested.

Also, manifesting does not require you to be your authentic self, nor does it require you to be a good person.

To say that each individual’s entire reality is only created through subconscious and conscious programming during lived experience is a very two-dimensional theory and fails to take into account the Mind-Body-Soul Trinity or affect of the collective consciousness on your life.

In my work as an astrologer, I have come to believe that there is a level of intelligence and cause and effect beyond the conscious and subconscious mind at play - the superconscious.

The conscious and subconscious mind are programmed during our lived experience where as the superconscious includes collective consciousness and past life experiences recorded in a Soul.

Science has proven how programming in the Mind (subconscious and conscious) and Body (brain / gut connection, hormone balance, epigenetics, etc.) affects our decisions and habits.

But science never addresses the Soul…

I believe the Soul is a unique wave of energy that chooses this body, life and experience to express a unique perspective and complete unresolved karma. The Soul records and stores all experiences and karma, including experiences before this lifetime. If we define karma simply as cause and effect, there are *causes* from past lives that *affect* our current life in ways we might never logically be able to explain.

Each individual’s Soul is a piece of the superconscious. Your Soul knows the bigger picture and will guide you through life if you know how to listen to it.

Just as God, Source, the Universe, whatever you want to call it, built humans with the ability to discover the Universal Laws that shape and govern our reality, I believe the science of astrology was given to us as a map to better understand the Soul and superconscious. 

Let’s use scientific terms to help you understand…

Everything in the 3rd dimension has form. Each form has a unique mathematical formula that describes its shape and movement. 

By using astrology to study people, I have concluded that each human also has a unique form that can be read and understood in a Natal Birth Chart.

A car manual is a great metaphor for a Natal Birth Chart. It outlines how the car was designed to function and how to take care of the car so that it runs optimally. You wouldn’t use a two-seater Porsche to haul a horse trailer. Nor would you race with a giant pickup truck. 

(For those of you snarkily thinking, "YES I could! I can manifest ANYTHING!" my question for you is, "Why would you want to? And where does that INHERENT desire to rebel or desire that specific experience come from?")

Similarly, A Natal Birth Chart is a highly complex map that shows an individual's…

• unique perspective on life, 
• how they think and communicate,
• how they are uniquely built, 
• personality traits (including shadows and less desirable qualities), 
• deepest desires,
• karmic lessons, 
• intuitive gifts and abilities, 
• how different areas of life are connected,
• major themes that will play out throughout their life and 
• how cycles play out in their life.

Some astrologers even say it shows a person’s unique Destiny and Purpose in this life. 

We'll save the debate about Destiny, Fate and Purpose and a discussion on levels of Internal and External Reflection for anther day, but I'll leave you with the the quote by the 6th century Greek Philosopher and Astrologer Heraclitus,

"Man's fate is his character."

From studying my own chart and life and those of my clients, I believe a Natal Birth Chart shows a person’s true core desires before any societal or parental programming. 

To describe the first layer a Natal Birth Chart in layman's terms - the layout of planets in particular Zodiac signs show a person's strongest character traits and how they will innately respond to situations. The Houses with planets show the areas of life a person will focus on the most throughout their entire life. 

I have witnessed people who feel totally lost, unhappy and unable to figure out what they want, find true happiness and peace by learning their chart and creating their life to match the core desires they re-discover. You could even use the word “re-member.” I use “re-“ because your core desires were there all along! They had just been buried by outside programming.

Learning your Natal Birth Chart is the ultimate manifesting hack because the information you learn is completely custom to you and covers every area of life.

For example, let’s say you are working on manifesting a new job. Your chart will show you what kind of job you’d truly enjoy, your talents and personality strengths to utilize, your ideal role on a team and optimal times to pursue finding a new job.

Those of you who already do reprogramming work know that a big part of the manifesting process is integrating shadows and the parts of your personality that are challenging or competing.

Guess what can be clearly identified using a Natal Birth Chart? Your shadows, personality traits and wounds! Once you know them, you can transmute and integrate them in a healthy way using your favorite reprogramming method.

Many of the manifesting and reprogramming techniques I have personally tried only focus on one area of life at a time and don’t zoom out to understand how they all connect. There are times in the manifesting process where people get stuck because their focus is too narrow.

Astrology is a fantastic tool to see a new perspective when you are stuck because a Natal Birth Chart shows a holistic view of your life and how different areas of life are explicitly linked.

In certain cases you will be able to identify that the root of a problem is in a different area of life than your perceived problem. 

For example, let’s say your chart shows that your Houses of Money and Relationship are directly connected. You want more money. You have a relationship issue and didn’t realize those two areas of life were connected. Fix the relationship and money will start flowing to you again.

Since astrology is a science of timing and the forces of nature, it is a fantastic tool for understanding why certain things are happening at specific times. It shows energetic seasons that could be optimal for certain activities but not for others. For example, just as you’d expect travel delays during winter blizzard season, you can prepare for travel delays during a South Node in Sagittarius.

Personally, I love to be prepared, so I use astrology to know when major changes are coming and what areas of my life will be affected so that I can prepare accordingly and set up support in the impacted areas of life.

Beyond our individual selves, we can use astrology to get to know our loved ones better and improve relationships with our children, family members, work colleagues, and romantic partners by being able to see life through their eyes.

As I mentioned in the beginning, I find great value in reprogramming work and believe in infinite possibilities. I am not telling you to only use astrology or that it isn’t possible to get anything you desire.

I am showing you the huge value and detailed insights astrology has to offer you as a tool, and I encourage you to incorporate astrology into your current manifesting and reprogramming work.

I invite you to ask deeper questions about the nature of reality, your authentic self and where your desires originated, which are all questions that can be answered by studying astrology.

The science of astrology combines history, psychology, mathematics, astronomy, mythology, numerology, spirituality, theology, and etymology. It is as, if not more, complex than learning how to read and perform a Wagner opera at the highest level of performance. Astrologers are true polymaths who base their work on clearly identifiable archetypes and repeatable patterns. This science has been around for thousands of years and used by every culture on earth. It would not still be used if it didn't hold truth.

Most of my clients are people like myself who found astrology when they were going through big life changes or spiritual awakenings and not finding the answers anywhere else.

The comments I hear most often in sessions are, “How did you know that about me?? You’re a wizard! This is so spot on! These insights are so helpful in validating my path.”

I get calls regularly from clients saying, “that thing you told me might happen this month - ya, it happened.”

We all wish we had had this information a lot sooner!
