The TRANSFORMATIVE POWER of BIG TRANSITS

(This article was written as a newsletter on the June 20, 2024 Summer Solstice.)

Dear Fellow Stargazers,

I hope you've had a lovely start to summer! Happy Solstice and Happy Full Moon!

I wish I could say the same, but this transit of Neptune at 29°52' Pisces conjunct my Mercury EXACTLY squaring Venus, Mercury and the Sun in Gemini in my 12th House has been ROUGH 🥵😮‍💨🤒.

In this short tale I am going to show you the TRANSFORMATIVE POWER of BIG TRANSITS and why you should mark them on your calendar. 🖍️📆

A big transit is when a 'transiting' planet, meaning a moving planet, crosses over and 'conjuncts' one of your natal planets from your natal birth chart.

For the context of this article, I am including transits of Pluto, Uranus, Neptune, Jupiter and Saturn.

I had this transit of Neptune conjunct my natal Mercury marked on my calendar for the last two years, waiting with eager anticipation. 😄

I was thinking, "Wow! This Neptune transit is going to be incredible! It will open up new levels of psychic abilities, and I'll find a new level of power with my voice. I'm going to come home from a rejuvenating week in Florida refreshed and ready to jump into the next chapter!"

WRONG. Well... sort of...

There's often a storm (aka detox or crisis event) to clean out ALL old, outdated, no longer necessary energy before miracles begin.

Major transits like this one BRING BIG ENERGY.

Big transits have three phases - the Build Up, Day Of and Post Period.

Build Up - 

A time period anywhere between a week to several months before the exact transit. I started feeling the build up to this transit a month and a half prior to the exact day. In true Piscean / Neptunian fashion, it was TOTALLY MAGICAL! I had big wins and truly magical synchronicities. AND, what needed to be cleaned out started showing signs that a detox was coming.

Day Of - 

The actual day of the transit. The day I returned from Florida I got VERY VERY sick. Whatever made me sick put me out for two whole weeks. When the day of the transit arrived...

No events. No clients. NO VOICE. No energy. Stuck in bed. 
(Note the effect on my voice with all the Gemini and Mercury energy involved.)

In true 12th house fashion I was forced to face demons in my subconscious mind and let go of the way I use to do things. None of my normal healing modalities were working.

I had to surrender to God and... ask for a radical new way of healing, which came through a good friend of mine in the Dr. Joe community.
(Neptune at 29°. SURRENDER. The LAST degree of the Zodiac where you die before you are reborn into a new identity.)

Post Period -
 

A time period anywhere between a week to several months after the exact transit where you integrate the lesson(s).

The post period for this Neptune transit is going to last at least a month as I ease back into a full work schedule. Then, I'll get to revisit it again to review what I learned at the end of Retrograde season.

I'm going to journal a lot and ask a ton of questions to get to the root of the programs running in my subconscious mind.

While the storm wasn't fun, the magic of a Neptunian dawn is on the horizon!

Even though I've barely worked in 3 weeks, new connections and opportunities are already coming in to my inbox, particularly for SPEAKING engagements like podcasts and workshops, and my dreams have shifted into vivid and beautiful colors, stories and scenery. This transit marked a 'transition' into a new chapter of my life. Plus, once I am fully back out in the world, I am excited to see what new levels of awareness I'll have post-detox. Oftentimes new gifts and abilities take time to turn on and integrate into our day-to-day reality.

From this short anecdote, I hope you see the POWER of BIG TRANSITS. 

They mark transitions into new chapters and phases of life.

From my experience and the research I've done into people's charts, we cannot escape these transits.

That is why we mark them on our calendars, prepare the best we can and watch the magic unfold. ✨
